This recorder comes supplied with mains power supply, or can also be used with AA batteries. Installation is easy - just connect 2 crocodile clips (supplied) to either the telephone line or telephone socket, press play and record, and you are in business ! Once any handset on the telephone line is picked up, recording will start automatically (getting both sides of the conversation, from any extension on the line) and will cease when the handset is put down. However, when in standby, the recorder draws no power, so if used with batteries, it can be left for months without receiving a call, but will still work when a call does come through. Comes with a C-120 cassette, which will give a staggering 6 hours recording time per tape side (not auto-reverse). As with all our telecorders, operation is totally covert, neither party using the telephone will be aware that the conversation is being recorded.

This is a walkman sized version of the TC3, but giving 3 hours recording time per tape side with the supplied C - 120 cassette. It is intended for use in situations where a full size recorder would be difficult to hide, and works on 2 X AA batteries (though it also has an external power input jack for use with a regulator, not supplied).

Using the new Watsonlinc TM connectors, these recording kits can be connected to the telephone line in a second - anywhere along the line, from the pole right up to the "curly wurly" wire on the handset itself ! No electrical work is involved - the connector simply clips around the insulation of the cable, and works on the principle of induction i.e it receives the signal from the cable without direct connection.
